Legalizing Assisted Suicide

Introduction
Suicide Some people choose to commit suicide. Sometimes, it’s because they suffer from a sickness, or because they may not have anyone left to love or to be loved by, or they could just not enjoy life anymore and have no reason to live. These people have the right to end their lives if they choose to. But some people are not able to do so. They are to sick and need someone to help them commit suicide. This is way assisted suicide should no longer be a crime.

Paragraph I.
There may be many reasons for wanting to commit suicide, even if you’ve had a great life. My aunt had Multiple Sclerosis, also know as MS. Over the years, my aunt’s body became paralyzed. She couldn’t walk or move. She couldn’t even feed herself or go to the bathroom anymore. She was not able to do things even a three year old would do everyday. She knew she could die in a minute or she could die in three months. Can you imagine being stuck in bed not able to do anything all day and just wait to die? Who wants to be there in bed all day and not do anything, while everyone else is having fun or even just doing something like homework? You’re pretty much already dead. My aunt wanted to be able to go to sleep and never wake up. But she needed someone to give her that medicine that would be able to give her that wonderful way to pass away. If you’re going to die, you might as well do it in the most peaceful way possible, not having to worry about waiting any longer. Sadly, assisted suicide is illegal in most countries like Canada, Australia, Germany and a lot of other countries. Why is killing your self-allowed but not someone helping you kill your self allowed? Some people like my aunt are not able to commit suicide. It doesn’t seem fair. The people who can’t commit suicide are in just as much pain and if not more than people who are able to commit suicide on their own. Some people like my aunt don’t want to remembered as a vegetable.
