Causes of Global Warming

3 Pages 663 Words February 2017

Many scientists believe that human beings and nature have caused the most serious and largest climatic changes over this century, following the start of civilization. Researchers found out first that various greenhouse gasses caused global warming. The damage and benefits of global warming will vary widely from region to region. For moderate climate change, the balance can be difficult to assess. However, the higher the change in climate, the more negative the outcomes will become ( National Geographic Society, n.d.). Global Warming probably makes life harder, not easier, for human being and animals. Global warming is caused by human activity, human population growth, and natural occurrences.
Since the current rise in severe weather patterns, the average person would see the environment is changing. Using modern technology to record and monitor these changes, experts now have a better idea of which direction Earth is heading, and what should have caused those adverse changes. The recent data from all over the globe reveal that our world is turning faster than it is supposed to be. Human activity is causing the greenhouse gas cover to get thicker. For instance, utilizing fossil fuels produces enormous amounts of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere; the burning of trees allows carbon dioxide put in the trees to escape into the air. Other activities such as raising cattle and farming rice discharge methane, nitrous oxide, and other greenhouse gasses, which are the significant contributor to the thickening of this layer.
According to Ribeiro et al. (2007), human population growth is another reason for global warming. If the human population increases on the earth, it raises the demand for living land and destruction of the forests. Increasing sales of the number of vehicles by the people cause fossil fuels to burn more, intensifying the level of atmospheric carbon dioxide. The use of fossil fuels by humans for transportation produces c...
