Metal Music - What is All This Racket?

When you hear the words "metal music," you think of a bunch of teenagers and young adults who rebel and do not follow the rules laid out by the foundation of order. But, if you take that one step further and dive inside the world of rock, you are probably thinking of a bunch of drugged out rebels that also do not conform to society norms. Actually, some of that is true. However the majority of metal music today is not what it has been made out to be in the media world; the popular bands of metal music encourage being yourself, being a positive person, and a universally popular theme in metal music is to not stop at whatever you do until your dreams come true. I, being an avid fan of the metal scene know all of the ups and downs, the lefts and the rights, and the ins and the outs of metal music. (Although it mainly speaks loudest to the people who have fallen on hard times, metal music can be for anyone whether you are someone who feels like no one listens and it is an escape or even someone who likes the groove of the aggressive music.)
When people first come across metal music, usually their first automatic thought is what this racket that I am listening to? This is understandable considering that screaming at the top of your lungs is not a normal way to talk, but if that person gave it a chance, he or she might find out that the screaming has personal meaning. In I Killed The Prom Queen’s song, Brevity, all he or she hears is a bunch of mindless screaming on the surface, but if that person looked up the lyrics of the song they would find out that the singer is screaming things like, “ Its all been said over and over again. We all think we’re invincible/ when really you’re so scared of failure you’ve lost touch with the youth you hold so dear/ brevity, what are we living for/ just dying inside each day/ or I for search for something more/ you won’t find me with my back against the wall/ live your life/ see the world/ what ...
