The Health Benefits of Eating Breakfast

We live in the era of “I do not have time for anything.” This is one of the most typical excuses why we do not live healthily. This is the reason why we do not eat properly, why we do not do some exercises and live a stressful, unhealthy lifestyle. Most of the people have to fulfill their several obligations in work, school, family, relationships and besides this, they usually do not find time for essential needs: the physical and mental health. If we do not pay enough attention to this, we will not be able to live a complete life. The issue of eating is one of the most frequent topics in the field of healthy living. In my essay, I pay particular attention to the importance of breakfast.
According to the USDA, Food and Agricultural Organization’s survey this year, the proportion of American people who claim that breakfast is the most important meal of the day is 93 percent, while the scale of people who eat breakfast every day is only 44 percent.
After these data all of us might ask the question: if nearly all people know what should they do, why do not they do that? The answer to this question is not as easy as it seems, this issue is quite complex.
Firstly, the question of what we eat for breakfast might be the most divisive. It is a common believe that eating breakfast is healthy and significant but I am not sure that all people who claim eating breakfast eat a really healthy meal. Breakfast is the basis of the day because it determines how we eat for the rest of the day.
In addition, it is very risky if we absolutely eat nothing for breakfast. When we get up, our stomach contains only the gastric acid. If we do not eat anything within a short time, the acid starts burning the stomach and if this happens regularly, it can cause stomachic ulcer. It is even worse if one starts the day with just a cup of strong coffee. It is true that coffee makes us feel awake and fresh, but it does more harm than use.
