nge, my body would have been much better off.
Time Is Apparently of the Essence:
During my challenge I also learned how bad I have gotten with time management at the ripe old age of twenty-one. My family has always placed great emphasis on managing time effectively to become successful people, which is why this lesson surprised me a bit. For the most part, I have always been good at managing time (or so I thought). But, I am a management major so I think I just want to convince myself that I have good management skills. This challenge has opened my eyes to better coordinating my daily tasks to make things easier on myself. I pushed off a lot of jogs during this challenge due to my poor time management skills. Hopefully, I let this lesson really sink in as this is one of the most important skills to have in business.
Health is Wealth:
My entire family on my Mom’s side is fanatical about health, getting me involved too from a young age. I have always wanted to be that woman who owns her own yoga studio, can carry her kids on each hip, and run a mile or two after work each day. I hoped to be incredibly fit in my twenties so I could be healthy by the time I was sixty. After finishing my jogging challenge, however, I have realized this may be a bit trickier to attain than I thought.
I must admit, running the past few months has definitely impacted my health for the better. I feel much more refreshed and less lazy than I previously felt without adequate exercise in my life. I realized in the middle of April that health truly is wealth.
Overall, I am very grateful to have concluded that I need to better allocate my time with tasks, keep working on staying fit, and not rush into what tasks lay before me.
Looking back at these past few months, I am quite proud of what I have learned. Given my family background of successful individuals, though, I am a bit disappointed in how I executed my challenge.
All I know is I could go on and on abou...
