signed ICCPR. It lapsed when the Governor-General dismissed the Whitlam Government in November 1975. Of course, due to this controversy, citizens had a huge uproar. Throughout the later years, Australia ratified for their rights and the first human rights commission was established, but unfortunately was not made part of Australian law as such. In 1985, Attorney-General Lionel Bowen introduced an Australian Human Rights Bill (same as Murphy in ‘73) but it met with such hostility that it was withdrawn. Fortunately, Australia did not give up. A year later, 1986, human rights is finally validated in Australian law.
It may come as a surprise to you that such rule violation can exist in Australia, one of the most stable, democratic and culturally diverse nations with spectacular landscapes and coastlines and a rich, ancient culture. Australia is in breach of both its OWN human rights standards and its OWN public safety standards attributed in Australian law. I will be discussing both of these areas of drone use and the problems that have arose and are arising.

International Law
The excessive use of rule-breaking violates international human rights law as set out in treaties to which Australia has ratified. These treaties attempt to recognise and enforce rule violation as illegal in regards to human rights law. Australia is a party to the seven core international human rights treaties: ICCPR, ICESCR, CERD, CEDAW, CAT, CRC, and CRPD.
