Advantages and Disadvantages of the English Language

It goes without saying that English is the most used and growing language in the world. The modern day technology has made it easy to communicate across the world, and English made the language barriers collapse. English influences a lot of languages in a good way, however not many people notice that it is also tearing apart the languages it comes across. Language has a great importance to a culture, and by removing or thinning language, you diminish the culture of said language.
There's an argument that has been put forward, which says that the positive advantages outweigh
the negative sides of the spread of English globally. Thus making this a debatable issue. There are a plenty of reasons that make the globalization of English very positive. First of all, English has become an international language and a lot of people are learning the language for communication so when they travel abroad they can easily communicate. Secondly, modern-day technology plays a crucial role in our lives and most of these gadgets use English to operate. These reasons make my last point the most important. The English language has become so important in all fields, so people nowadays who know English are getting attractive and more careers options, not only in their home country but also abroad. On the other hand, some mean that the globalization of the language has become an adverse effect on the countries it influences, by invading and harming its culture. A lot of people also struggle to learn the language, as the grammar and is built up differently from their native language, hence hindering them from being able to keep up with the rest of the world.
To conclude this essay, I'd like to say that I believe that English has a positive effect in all walks of life. However we must not ignore its disadvantages, people follow western culture, thus giving the language power to control and influence society. Hence making it a threat to most cultures. So in...
