Memoir on My Mother's Love

My mom gave birth to me with exceptionally difficult labor. Dad received an emergency notice and was faced with a choice between the adult and the infant. Of course, he chose the adult. So my coming into this world was an unexpected fortune at the price of my mom's great pain. However, although I made to come to this world, things did not turn out to be smooth. I was born with six fingers on my right hand. My mom said she could tell from the light from our relatives’ eyes that I was regarded strange.
Although I had an operation when I was less than a month old, an ugly scar left. Coincidentally, due to excessive injection on the point of my mom’s right thumb and forefinger, her thumb on the right hand became stiff, exactly where my scar is. It brought much inconvenience, but my mom said it’s because we are made to be mother and daughter. Until now, mom would gently touch my scar occasionally and asks me whether it hurts or not. I know she always feels sorry and guilty for that, though by no means it’s her fault.
