Through time, arguments and persistence, our society has begun to round out what law enforcement is able to do so that they don’t break our constitutional rights. Some of these abilities are that they can only access our devices with our permission if it pertains to the crime if they have reasonable suspicion that a particular device is involved in a crime, and so forth. Court cases are still being fought just like some other similar cases due to the gray area but, overall, we have begun to come to an understanding as to what may or may not be accessed and taken.
