I think that from reading this article you can tell that the author is biased and agrees with the position that minors should have the rights to confidentiality. This article goes good with my other article Linking changes in contraceptive use to declines in teen pregnancy rates, I think they go along because the use of plan b can decrease the numbers of unintended teenage pregnancies.
Adolescents are ages anywhere between beginning of puberty to early adulthood, the maturation of adolescents is dependent upon the personal development and whether they established their own personal beliefs and values, which can be shaped by, but are not limited to, personal relationships, risk-taking behaviors, greater desires for autonomy, and romantic relationships. Many adolescent health issues are somehow related to sensitive information like drinking, doing drugs, smoking, sexual activity, self-harm, or suicidal behavior. This article discusses the ethical and moral rights when it comes to disclosing and being discreet about adolescents private information. Many health care providers need to decide if they can promise full condifentalily to adolescents when disclosing this information because if it can in anyway affect the livelihood of the adolescent themselves or someone else, it could potentially be dangerous and cause legal problems if certain information is kept sensitive.
