When looking at guns in America, it is first important to understand how pervasive gun culture is in the United States. The United States is far ahead of any other country in gun ownership per capita, owning 120 guns per every 100 residents (Small Arms Survey 2018). That means there are more guns than citizens in America, a staggering statistic. The United States is then followed by countries such as; Serbia, Yemen, Switzerland, Iraq, Canada, and Finland.
