As my final year in high school has begun, I have come to the final stretch of my 12 years of school and soon yet to begin my journey out in the real world of college with many opportunities. This is scary, to be honest, as I feel like I am not nearly ready to become an “adult” and would just become terrified of the world that waits for me in the near future. As time flew by, I have learned that the goals I had in mind when I was little have completely changed from different experiences throughout my life. I have known what my strengths and weaknesses were to get to know myself better in what I like doing and don’t like doing. One of my goals this year is not to procrastinate on anything. This was a BIG problem for me because this has affected my sleeping schedule. I have come to school with 1-2 hours of sleep when I was lucky, and sometimes no sleep at all. This affected my grades and activities in school and got addicted to coffee to help me stay up. I was depressed for most of my high school years because of this, since my grades were dropping and stress levels were increasing. My next goal is to just enjoy life and do the things that will benefit me in the near future, but work hard as well.
Over the past few years, I have challenged myself to take all the hard classes that would look good for college and stressed so much about grades. This year, I want to enjoy my last year in school by working hard, receiving good grades, but also get to spend time with my friends and family because you can’t work for all your life!! My next goal is to get accepted to a good college and finish my college apps soon.
